Q*Bert Redux

Postby sixxie » Sun Oct 29, 2017 11:22 am

Not entirely sure why I did this, but yesterday I decided to type in the listing of the BASIC game Q*Bert (by Philip Thompson) from the January 1985 issue of Dragon User.

Today I enhanced it with some machine code to make it a little bit quicker.

A github repo, if you want to see how kludgy the end result was.

Downloaded it yesterday and played it. Finally got through the first round after many a try and then almost made it through 2 rounds. Had one last tile I missed. Not a bad little pyramid game once you get used to the jumping routines. Thanks for the improvement!
