My first PC was a Tandy 1000

I started with the silver CoCo 1 with 16K, upgraded that to 32K, then jumped to the white 64K CoCo 1 with ECB. Lastly I got a stock 128K CoCo 3 with CM-8, and roughly, around the same time, the earliest Tandy 1000 models around 1987.

This had a single 5.25" floppy, 384K RAM, and the standard Tandy Color RGB monitor, don't recall what model#

That machine got a few upgrades from me, an internal modem, a "hard card" which was a hard drive and controller board on one expansion slot, and I don't think I upgraded the RAM on that model.

This was my first "PC" computer, and got me into the world of MS-DOS and I've been a PC person ever since. I have as many fond Tandy 1000 memories as I do with my CoCo 1/2/3, so I was a Tandy guy throughout most of the 80's.

I do have on my wish list, to get some model of Tandy 1000 with the original Tandy 16-color graphics and 3-voice music chip, aka the PC Jr. clone it started out as.

Loved playing all the Sierra On-line graphics adventures, all the "quests" series, Thexder, Silpheed, etc.

Enough about me and my Tandys.

I guess I should have clarified, my first computer was a CoCo 1. The Tandy 1000 was my first PC. I built many PC compatibles from the ground up after that. Now at home, I use an iMac and a Dell Laptop with Windows 10.

The CoCo and Tandy 1000 will both always have a special place in my heart.
